Wow, at last Barnstaple has a really good vegetarian cafe. Cafe Libri in Maiden Street has just opened where the Owl vegan cafe used to be. If you are in Barnstaple you must try the delicious soups and cakes, not to mention the tasty daily specials and paninis. I am now able to have really good quality, fresh and exciting veggie fare during my lunch breaks - excellent!

I was looking for a Vegan cafe or shop close to our holiday accommodation near Barnstaple that could supply a suitable cake for my sons 16th birthday. Called in the day before my sons birthday and asked if they could help out. Absolutely brilliant response from the owners / staff, they made the cake first thing the following morning and asked me to call back after 10 am. Cake was fantastic, service and helpfulness first class, really nice friendly people, price was very reasonable, many thanks and I would recommend to anyone.
